The Central Welfare Association of Roma and Sinti in Germany (ZWRSD) is the association of Roma and Sinti welfare organizations in Germany and, as an umbrella organization in this area, represents German and (post-)migrant Roma and Sinti locally, regionally and at the federal level. The core task of the ZWRSD is the participation and empowerment of marginalized groups within the community. The ZWRSD was founded in Berlin in 2024 and operates nationwide.
As an independent and non-profit association, we are committed to combating discrimination, racism and prejudice against Roma and Sinti. We work on a political, social and cultural level to improve the situation of community members.
In addition to advice and support on social issues, our work also includes the promotion of educational projects, the organization of cultural events and the education about the history and current living situation of Roma and Sinti in Germany.
