Pro Sinti & Roma e.V.(Opens in a new tab/window) is a central social counseling and self-organization structure for German and (post-)migrant Sinti and Roma in Baden-Württemberg. Since 2015, the association has been offering low-threshold support in the areas of everyday assistance, social and migration law, protection against discrimination, and crisis help. A statewide network with contact points in eight cities enables local, multilingual counseling — including in Romanes, Macedonian, Albanian, Serbian/Bosnian, Bulgarian, Turkish, and Russian.
As a self-organization of Romani people, the association works closely in alignment with the actual needs of the community and possesses a profound understanding of the lived realities of its target groups. It cooperates with social service providers, municipal institutions, and church organizations and plays an important role in political advocacy, particularly in the fight against antigypsyism. Through its continuous presence in cities and municipalities, Pro Sinti & Roma e.V. sustainably strengthens participation, equal opportunities, and social cohesion.
